Project PackLess – Supporting SME Sustainable Packaging Transformation, (PackLess – supporting SMEs in the transformation process for sustainable packaging)

is funded by the European Erasmus+ programme.

This is a 30-month initiative that supports the implementation of zero waste packaging, where “zero waste” (ZW) is understood as applying the 5R principle: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot.

The project is aimed at adapting to the DIRECTIVE OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL 94/62/EC of December 20, 1994 in the field of packaging and packaging waste, which establishes measures to prevent the production of packaging waste and transition to a circular economy. The project implements the assumptions of the Circular Economy Action Plan (With the Action Plan, the Commission is taking a decisive step towards transforming Europe from a linear economy to a circular economy)

Project Packless will provide:

-Increasing partners’ competence and involvement in at least 2 areas: building sustainable organizations and designing digital educational solutions.

– Raise awareness of partner organizations on sustainable packaging choices leading to the promotion of their informed procurement

– Engaging process of active search for innovative solutions for sustainable transformation of SMEs.

– A compendium of success stories of companies that have implemented a sustainable packaging process

– MOOC will support awareness of sustainability in general and sustainable packaging designs in particular and related development of workplace habits for VET learners; OER in EN, PL, BG, DE for VET educators.

– A compendium of knowledge for SMEs and VET educators with a modular curriculum structure (syllabus) available in partner languages that can be used by VET providers and SME owners and managers to educate SME employees and leaders responsible for packaging selection, and for VET educators to design digitized curricula for the development of eco-behavior at work.

– MOOC & Compendium promoted and disseminated in 4 countries through online and F2F activities.

The project is implemented by five partner organizations in four EU countries (Germany, Austria, Poland and Bulgaria).
